Care For Patients

Our Services

Services at the hospice are free to patients and include the following:

Patients are cared for in a calm, homely atmosphere from the point of diagnosis, through investigations and treatment to remission or palliative care. The “whole person” is cared for: mind, body and spirit. Away from the clinical environment, the patient can just be themselves in a safe place where the focus is on living.

Bedford Daycare Hospice provides holistic care for adults over the age of 18 suffering with a life-limiting illness and who are registered with a North or Mid-Beds GP.

Services are provided Monday to Friday from 10am to 3.30pm

Complementary Therapy

Therapies on offer include Aromatherapy, Reiki and Reflexology and are delivered in accordance with local and national guidelines. GP permission is sought before treatment and all therapies are provided by a volunteer complementary therapist, qualified in their chosen therapy, fully insured and have been DBS cleared. Therapies are given free of charge to patients and help to reduce anxiety, relieve stress and promote relaxation, bringing about a sense of well-being.
