Wonderful Show

A big thank you to the ladies of Inner Wheel, Bedford for the fabulous fashion show organised in aid of the Hospice. It was a wonderful event with the opportunity to purchase some great bargains at the end!

Amazing People

A donation of £1000 was made to Bedford Daycare Hospice by the leading regional builder Persimmon Homes East Midlands.

The funds were provided through the Community Champions fund, which sees Persimmon Homes East Midlands donate a pot of £2,000 each month to share between two worthy causes to match their fundraising activities.

Carol Lucken, who made the charity bid on behalf of the hospice, said: “The hospice is constantly raising money to pay for the day to day running costs, and to enable the services to be offered to more patients”.

“It is such a worthy cause I wanted to nominate the hospice for the £1,000 Community Champions award and I am delighted it has been selected.”

Nick Philips, director in charge of Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: “The care and support offered by Bedford Daycare Hospice to patients and their families is truly priceless and we are glad to be able to offer our support by making the donation through our Community Champions scheme.

“We are committed to the communities in which we build and are keen to support worthy causes through our Community Champions scheme.”

Every Penny Counts

Bedford Daycare Hospice received £500 from The Provincial Grand Lodge of Bedfordshire Freemasons. The grant from The Provincial Grand Lodge of Bedfordshire Freemasons comes through the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF), and was used for our patient lounge extension and refurbishment.
