Give In Memory

Remembering a Loved One

Many families and friends choose to remember their loved ones and the care, treatment and support they received at the Hospice, by fundraising or donating in their memory.  Helping us continue to support and care for more patients, families and carers, like theirs, in our community.

Every donation we receive, no matter the size, will make a difference as we are a local, self-funding charity. We are reliant on the generosity from our community to help us reach the £650,000 we need each and every year to continue to provide our vital services to patients with a terminal illness.

Leaving a donation through your Will

We are able to help so many patients through the generosity of those who have left a gift to Bedford Daycare Hospice in their Will.

Whether you can afford to give a little or a lot, your donation will help us to keep on giving life-changing hospice care to people in and around Bedfordshire.

By including a gift in your Will to the Hospice you are enabling us to respond to the needs of terminally ill people both now and in the future, improving the quality of the lives they have left and supporting those who are close to them.

For further advice, or to talk about leaving a lasting gift, please contact Wendy Darlow.

Donations in lieu of funeral or memorial flowers

You may prefer to ask your family and friends to make a donation to Bedford Daycare Hospice instead of flowers at a funeral or memorial service.

We can provide you with our donation envelopes and by completing the simple Gift Aid declaration your family and friends can increase the value of their donation by 25%, at no extra cost to them.

You may wish to set up an online fundraising page, via Memory Giving or Just Giving and a member of our team can support you with this. Alternatively, you may wish to speak with your Funeral Director who will be able to accept cheques and cash donations on our behalf.

We will write to notify you of the total amount raised in your loved one’s memory and thank everyone individually for their donation if we have their contact details.

Any further donations we receive by post, telephone or online will also be thanked and we will write to notify you of who has kindly donated.

Regular Donation

You may choose to continue to support us and make a regular donation either monthly, quarterly or annually, many supporters do this to remember an anniversary or birthday of someone special.

However you pay tribute, the memory of your loved one will live on forever at Bedford Daycare Hospice. Your donation will help us to keep on caring for people living through a terminal illness – and support their families too – for generations to come.

For further advice, or to talk about how best to remember your loved one, please contact us.
